Warning: This product is for external use only! This product should not be applied directly to the areas around the eyes or lips or inside the nose. It is important to avoid getting any of the cream into the eyes, nose, or mouth.

Limitation of Application Area: The total area of skin where Curaderm BEC5 can be applied to at any one time should not exceed 25 sq.cm (approx. 5 x 5 cm). For larger areas should be applied a section at a time.

Tolerance: Curaderm BEC5 is well-tolerated. The healthy skin surrounding the area may occasionally become reddened/irritated due to the salicylic acid, but soon resumes its normal color on cessation of application of Curaderm. Some pain may be experienced due to the salicylic acid content.

Storage instructions: Curaderm BEC5 tube is to be stored below 25°C (77°F), preferably in the refrigerator. After opening, the cream should be stored in the refrigerator.

How to apply:

Apply at least twice daily or as directed by a medical health professional.

Before each application of Curaderm BEC5 wash the area with water, and dry thoroughly. Apply antiseptic gel to the area, and rub in. This procedure ensures removal of dead cells which would otherwise form a barrier.

Apply an adequate layer yet not an excessive amount of Curaderm BEC5 to the affected areas only, avoiding the surrounding area. Cover with a simple dressing such as the micropore paper-tape provided with your order. Never allow the area to dry out.

Step 1: Preparation – Cleanse the area using an antiseptic solution such as Hibiclens Antiseptic skin cleanser and dry the area. Alternatively, use soap and water to clean the area.

Step 2: Application – Apply Curaderm BEC5 only to the original area avoiding the surrounding areas to reduce redness on the edges.

Step 3: Covering – Gently cover the area with a simple dressing such as a surgical paper tape (3M Micropore paper tape).

FAQ About Curaderm BEC5

Frequently Asked Questions

Disclaimer: Please note that only your own physician can determine your precise needs, but in order to give you some information these answers are based upon the ‘average person’ and clinical/ published results.

What is Curaderm-BEC5?
Curaderm-BEC5 is a topical product in a clear plastic bottle. Each product contains 20ml of formulated cream and 0.005% BEC.

(click to return to top of this page)

How often should I use Curaderm BEC5?
Curaderm-BEC5 should be used at least twice daily but may also be used up to ten times daily. Please speak to your doctor or healthcare provider for direction in more frequent applications. It is important to always cover the affected area with a dressing such as Micropore, which is a brand of paper tape. DO NOT allow the area to which cream is applied to dry out.

(click to return to top of this page)

How long should I perform applications of Curaderm BEC5?
You should apply the cream on the affected areas with Curaderm BEC5 twice a day until the area appears normal. On occasion it may be necessary to prolong regime. If in doubt, it is better to keep using the cream on the area for an extended period of time to prevent re-occurrence. It is important to ensure a regular application regime. Multiple skipped applications may result in the growth of normal skin over the top of the affected area. This can result in masking, and thus the incomplete healing.

(click to return to top of this page)

How should Curaderm BEC5 be stored?
It is recommended to store Curaderm BEC5 in a cool, dry place - preferably below the temperature of 25°C (77°F). After opening, the cream should be stored in the refrigerator.

(click to return to top of this page)

After opening the product, the cream was liquid. Does this affect the effectiveness of the product? Is the product permanently damaged as a result of high temperatures, or will it be fine after cooling it down in the refrigerator?
The Curaderm-BEC5 tube is not damaged but separated due to high temperatures.
It can be reconstituted back to its normal paste like form again and is still 100% effective!

To reconstitute your tube of Curaderm BEC5 back to its normal formulation, please follow the following 4 steps listed below:

Step 1: Place the tube of Curaderm BEC5 in a small pot of very hot water that is 140-158 degrees Fahrenheit (60-70 degrees Celsius) for approximately 5 minutes.
Step 2: Remove the tube of Curaderm BEC5 and shake it vigorously by hand. You will be able to hear the liquid when shaking the tube like it is water. Continues to shake until you stop hearing the aqueous solution shaking inside.
Step 3: Place the tube of Curaderm BEC5 into the freezer for 15 minutes.
Step 4: Then store the tube of Curaderm BEC5 in the refrigerator for use. The purpose of placing the Curaderm BEC5 into a pot of very hot water that is 140-158°F (60-70°C) is to fully separate all the ingredients completely before blending them back together into its normal formulation. Following these 4 steps will ensure that the ingredients in your tube of Curaderm BEC5 will be blended back together and the product will work 100% effectively as new. This should also return the CuradermBEC5 to a creamy consistency.

I'm planning on working outside or participating in water activities. What precautions should I take?
It is extremely important that, after you have applied Curaderm BEC5 to the area, that you cover the area with an occlusive dressing. The manufacturer recommends using micropore paper tape as an occlusive dressing. Micropore paper tape is necessary to prevent the area from drying out and forming a scab. Water are a great form of exercise, but it is extremely important that you do not get the dressing wet. If the dressing accidentally becomes wet or if it becomes detached before the next scheduled dosing, you should reapply new cream and a new dressing. In addition, the manufacturer recommends that you avoid sun exposure to the area where Curaderm is being applied. If you planning on working outside, we would recommend you put on a wide brimmed hat to avoid exposing your face to the sun. In addition, we would recommend you wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen on all areas of your face, neck, and other parts of your body that may be exposed to the sun.

When is it OK to use skin lotions or creams like Tamanu oil on an area?
You should not use creams or lotions on the area you are applying Curaderm BEC5 to. Once you are no longer using Curaderm BEC5, you can use creams or lotions.

Suggestion for application of Micropore paper tape.
• Tape should be applied without tension to clean, dry skin.
• A clipper may be used to remove hair, if necessary.
• To protect at-risk skin, 3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film may be applied and when thoroughly dry, tape may be applied over it.
• In general, do not encircle a limb completely with tape. • If distention is anticipated, use a tape that stretches or a self-adherent wrap to secure the dressing or tubing

A. General taping

Apply the tape without tension, gently but firmly stroking the surface to maximize adhesion. Tape should extend at least one-half inch beyond the dressing. Tape should not be pulled or stretched when applied. If swelling does occur, loosen and re-fasten or replace tape to relieve the tension.

B. When compression is needed

1. Place first section of tape without tension onto skin on one side of the dressing, gently pressing downward.
2. With one hand, secure tape on one edge of the dressing while slightly stretching next section of tape over the dressing.
3. Secure tape on opposite edge of the dressing.
4. Press remaining tape onto skin without tension. Compression should come from the multiple layers of dressing material, not from excessive tension in the tape. Skin distention under tape may result in blistering and should be relieved as soon as possible.

What is the cream’s shelf life?
Curaderm BEC5 Cream has a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacturing that can be found on each tube.

(click to return to top of this page)

Why do I need micropore tape? Is it necessary for application?
While the micropore tape isn’t necessary for the applications it prevents the cream from drying out and ensures the best results possible. Without the micropore tape the number of daily applications of the cream should be increased to up to 10.

(click to return to top of this page)

What if I have sensitive skin and the tape provided is too sticky?
In cases when the provided surgical micropore tape is too sticky and the skin is sensitive it is generally recommended to try and remove the tape after each application under water for easier removal. Alternatively, one should consider switching to micropore tape for sensitive skin.

What antiseptic gel should I be using?
The manufacturer recommends using Hibiclens or an equivalent. It remains important to cleanse the area with antiseptic each time, before you reapply the cream.

(click to return to top of this page)

Should I keep the area covered from the sun?

If you are planning on working outside, we would recommend you put on a wide brimmed hat to avoid exposing your face to the sun. In addition, we would recommend you wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen on all areas of your face, neck, and other parts of your body that may be exposed to the sun. Be careful that you do not put sunscreen on the area until after the end of the Curaderm BEC5 applications.

Posted by Sue East on Jan 25th 2017

Great product that works. Had a pencil eraser size lesion that completely disappeared after faithfully using twice daily for about 35 days, no scarring, no redness, just perfectly normal skin now. Will most definitely use this product again for any other lesions as I am very fair skinned and have had multiple skin cancers in the past in my 66 years. It does sting a little but you KNOW its working, only last a few moments. Love BEC5 cream, no more surgeries or having lesions frozen. I have also had Moh's skin cancer surgery, but no more. THANK YOU!

    Worked for me

Posted by James Stricker on Jan 23rd 2017

I had tried Curaderm previously but did not follow the protocol. When I was diagnosed with a basal cell cancer, I decided to try it again. It was helpful it came with the updated book. I followed the accelerated protocol for eight weeks, and I was cured. My dermatologist offered me three options when I saw him after the eight weeks: another biopsy (I stiil had a little redness in the area, having just finished the treatment a week before I saw him), MOHS surgery, or wait and see. Of course I chose wait and see. I have no signs of the cancer, no redness, and the area looks great. I am so pleased.

    Healing with Curaderm

Posted by Michaela Laskova on Jan 19th 2017

Hello. I m in the stadium of healing still. I ve started on 30.12.2016. I ve applied Curaderm on average 8 - 10 x daily on my cheek and neck by flattened toothpick. Lesion on my neck looks exactly like that from your brochure (pages 40 - 41), nearly the same as those every days pictures, it helps me a lot. Lesion on my cheek looks like the one from internet document. Treatment is painful (but just cca one minute after application of Curaderm), but I hope, that it leads to healthy skin. (ps: my year of birth is 1961). Best regards *Michaela Laskova*

    Curaderm

Posted by Richard Grace on Jan 5th 2017

Applied Curaderm twice a day to spot on forhead (probably Basal Cell) for 7 days. Curaderm's attack was almost immediate. Application caused pretty strong burning and stinging during treatment. By 12th day after treatment begun, scabs came off. Other than still just a little redness (which is lighting each day) no sign of cancer ever being there. Product is wonderful! I have a long history of basal and squamous cell skin carcinoma, as did my father. Have had many cryo-freeze burn, multiple surgeries as well as topical chemotherapy (which made me really sick). Curaderm is wonderful. I'm sure I will need it again somewhere else on my skin. Thank you, thank you!

    This works!

Posted by Werner Noesner on Dec 20th 2016

I suspected a BCC on my face and did the research on Curaderm BEC5. I applied the cream as directed and within 8 days it was gone. My BCC reacted just as described so be sure to read the instructions and the book. Your BCC will become worse before it disappears and your skin heals. So keep the faith and give it time to heal. It worked for me.

    Feel the Burn!!

Posted by Christopher Mau on Dec 19th 2016

    Yep it worked!

I had a Basil Cell removed from the top of my head 2 years ago by a old kooky Dr my Primary Care referred me to. Well he did an old procedure that didn't fully removed the basil cell and it started coming back but was very small and not bothering me.

My new Dr sent me to their Dermatologist, had a biopsy and confirmed I still had a basil cell carcinoma in that same spot. Their methods of treating it would've been Plastic Surgery which seemed overly excessive for a small spot, plus expensive with modern hi deductible insurance. Wife and I did some quick research, found Curaderm, figured it was worth a try so cancelled Surgery at last minute....

Put on twice a day per instructions, 1st week nothing as it wasn't an open sore, 2nd week it started changing and then it began....3rd-5th week I was feeling the Burn!!! And then 6th week it started to heal up really fast. Just finished using Curaderm at about middle of 7th week.

This stuff works! Happy it's done.....

    curaderm

The product worked as advertised. I was able to take photos of my treated skin and email them to the company for advise on the treatment. That was very important to me.

    I'm almost healed 100%!

Posted by Kelly Welty on Nov 30th 2016

I have tried multiple natural remedies for the skin cancer on my nose but nothing worked to the degree that Curaderm is working! It was a little scary at first because of the initial hole it leaves as it eats away the cancer, but then new skin started forming and now there is just a small spot left. I have been diligent to apply it twice a day and it is working miraculously!

    Curadurm bec5 20 mil cream

Posted by Lori Kavulish on Nov 21st 2016

In November 2014 I started using Curadurm on a Basil cell carcinoma spot in corner of my eye. It took 9 months to completly heal. It has been 2years now and I'm so happy I chose this natural product. It was a bit painful at times but I'm sure surgery would have been much worse. Please use this it works! I work in a hospital. Everyone was skeptical. They were amazed to see my results. I would not hesitate to use Curadurm again if the need arises.

    Curaderm Works!!

Posted by Pearl and Tom on Nov 16th 2016

We were a little skeptical before buying Curaderm and using it ourselves. However, we had seen the results on a friends face and figured that if it worked for her, it should work for us as well.

It did.

We have used it on 2 different spots of Actinic Keratosis (http://www.skincancer.org/skin-cancer-information/actinic-keratosis) and a mole who's borders had started to change. The results have been wonderful in all 3 areas. Give it time to do it's job and I am certain that it will work for you as well as it has for us.

Initially we were a little put off by the price, but now we feel it was well worth the price and the results are beautiful healthy skin instead of what was there before.

The free book that VITASTREAM provides with the purchase is nice. Especially if you are using it on your face, because people will ask and you can just show them the book. The free tape makes it easy to get started the moment the package arrives.

A Real Healer

Posted by Gerald Janicke on Nov 8th 2016

I'm 78 and had a basil cell carcinoma on my forehead. I've just finished day 120 in my use of Curaderm and my healing is almost complete. Just a little redness left. It probably took a little longer due to my age but, Curaderm works. Saved me thousands of dollars and all the pain that goes along with other treatments - and with no scars. I wouldn't have known about Curaderm if it wasn't for postings like this on the internet. And I still have a little left in the tube. I applied it twice a day. I was initially sceptical but, now I'd recommend it's use before trying any other approaches. There were periods of time during the last month that it didn't seem like any progress was being made in the healing. Have patience and keep applying it. It works.

    Curaderm BEC5

Posted by Patricia in Illinois on Nov 2nd 2016

After being diagnosed with cancer about the size of a pencil eraser on my nose, I began using Curaderm. I read everything I could find about this product, so I knew what to expect when the spot became an oozing lesion within a few days. I put the paper tape across the whole bridge of my nose, but I put the cream only on the lesion. Within a week, another lesion opened up on the other side of my nose. This one was much larger than the original lesion. So now I was treating 2 of them. I change my bandage 2 to 4 times each day.
After 5 weeks the lesions began to shrink. A few days later, 2 more lesions opened up. It has now been 7 weeks. The first 2 are barely visable, but the 2 new ones are oozing and will probably be around for awhile.
When I think about the surgery that would have been necessary to remove all the cancer, I am glad that I chose to use Curaderm. The journey has been tedious, but I believe the results will be worth the decision.

    Works

Posted by Helga Powell on Oct 29th 2016

The cream works well although it takes such a long time. The progress is as described in the booklet and, for me, after about 2 months the end is in sight, i.e. it is looking very good. During the process though there was a time when I thought oh my gosh what did I start? I am treating 2 spots. One is on the leg and one is on the upper arm. The arm seems to be more sensitive and even though the tape is for sensitive skin it became very irritated and sore from the repeated applications. Treated the irritated skin with Penaten cream which I applied and then tissued off which still left some residue on the skin. I helped to keep the paper tape from sticking too hard and made it easier to pull off. Also healed the irritated skin. Was not necessary on the leg - tougher skin.

    Amazing cream

Posted by Andrea Shishakly on Oct 5th 2016

I have been using Curaderm since August after having basil cell on my nose. It is almost gone after opening up and then closing completely. The skin on my nose is almost perfect again. I will continue to use this product until the healing is complete. I would encourage anyone to try this product. Curaderm is truly remarkable!

    It takes time

Posted by Richard Wells on Sep 20th 2016

I'm on week 22. I'm waiting for the lesion to closes up and heal over. When that happens I will feel that the cancer was destroyed 100%. I'm very doubtful that my doctor would have got it all. Twice daily reapplying and having tape on your face for months might not be for everyone.
