Limitation of Application Area: The total area of skin where Curaderm BEC5 can be applied to at any one time should not exceed 25 sq.cm (approx. 5 x 5 cm). For larger areas should be applied a section at a time.
Tolerance: Curaderm BEC5 is well-tolerated. The healthy skin surrounding the area may occasionally become reddened/irritated due to the salicylic acid, but soon resumes its normal color on cessation of application of Curaderm. Some pain may be experienced due to the salicylic acid content.
Storage instructions: Curaderm BEC5 tube is to be stored below 25°C (77°F), preferably in the refrigerator. After opening, the cream should be stored in the refrigerator.
How to apply:
Apply at least twice daily or as directed by a medical health professional.
Before each application of Curaderm BEC5 wash the area with water, and dry thoroughly. Apply antiseptic gel to the area, and rub in. This procedure ensures removal of dead cells which would otherwise form a barrier.
Apply an adequate layer yet not an excessive amount of Curaderm BEC5 to the affected areas only, avoiding the surrounding area. Cover with a simple dressing such as the micropore paper-tape provided with your order. Never allow the area to dry out.
Step 1: Preparation – Cleanse the area using an antiseptic solution such as Hibiclens Antiseptic skin cleanser and dry the area. Alternatively, use soap and water to clean the area.
Step 2: Application – Apply Curaderm BEC5 only to the original area avoiding the surrounding areas to reduce redness on the edges.
Step 3: Covering – Gently cover the area with a simple dressing such as a surgical paper tape (3M Micropore paper tape).

What is Curaderm-BEC5?
Curaderm-BEC5 is a topical product in a clear plastic bottle. Each product contains 20ml of formulated cream and 0.005% BEC.

How often should I use Curaderm BEC5?
Curaderm-BEC5 should be used at least twice daily but may also be used up to ten times daily. Please speak to your doctor or healthcare provider for direction in more frequent applications. It is important to always cover the affected area with a dressing such as Micropore, which is a brand of paper tape. DO NOT allow the area to which cream is applied to dry out.
(click to return to top of this page)
How long should I perform applications of Curaderm BEC5?
You should apply the cream on the affected areas with Curaderm BEC5 twice a day until the area appears normal. On occasion it may be necessary to prolong regime. If in doubt, it is better to keep using the cream on the area for an extended period of time to prevent re-occurrence. It is important to ensure a regular application regime. Multiple skipped applications may result in the growth of normal skin over the top of the affected area. This can result in masking, and thus the incomplete healing.

How should Curaderm BEC5 be stored?
It is recommended to store Curaderm BEC5 in a cool, dry place - preferably below the temperature of 25°C (77°F). After opening, the cream should be stored in the refrigerator.

After opening the product, the cream was liquid. Does this affect the effectiveness of the product? Is the product permanently damaged as a result of high temperatures, or will it be fine after cooling it down in the refrigerator?
The Curaderm-BEC5 tube is not damaged but separated due to high temperatures.
It can be reconstituted back to its normal paste like form again and is still 100% effective!
To reconstitute your tube of Curaderm BEC5 back to its normal formulation, please follow the following 4 steps listed below:
Step 1: Place the tube of Curaderm BEC5 in a small pot of very hot water that is 140-158 degrees Fahrenheit (60-70 degrees Celsius) for approximately 5 minutes.
Step 2: Remove the tube of Curaderm BEC5 and shake it vigorously by hand. You will be able to hear the liquid when shaking the tube like it is water. Continues to shake until you stop hearing the aqueous solution shaking inside.
Step 3: Place the tube of Curaderm BEC5 into the freezer for 15 minutes.
Step 4: Then store the tube of Curaderm BEC5 in the refrigerator for use. The purpose of placing the Curaderm BEC5 into a pot of very hot water that is 140-158°F (60-70°C) is to fully separate all the ingredients completely before blending them back together into its normal formulation. Following these 4 steps will ensure that the ingredients in your tube of Curaderm BEC5 will be blended back together and the product will work 100% effectively as new. This should also return the CuradermBEC5 to a creamy consistency.

I'm planning on working outside or participating in water activities. What precautions should I take?
It is extremely important that, after you have applied Curaderm BEC5 to the area, that you cover the area with an occlusive dressing. The manufacturer recommends using micropore paper tape as an occlusive dressing. Micropore paper tape is necessary to prevent the area from drying out and forming a scab. Water are a great form of exercise, but it is extremely important that you do not get the dressing wet. If the dressing accidentally becomes wet or if it becomes detached before the next scheduled dosing, you should reapply new cream and a new dressing. In addition, the manufacturer recommends that you avoid sun exposure to the area where Curaderm is being applied. If you planning on working outside, we would recommend you put on a wide brimmed hat to avoid exposing your face to the sun. In addition, we would recommend you wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen on all areas of your face, neck, and other parts of your body that may be exposed to the sun.

When is it OK to use skin lotions or creams like Tamanu oil on an area?
You should not use creams or lotions on the area you are applying Curaderm BEC5 to. Once you are no longer using Curaderm BEC5, you can use creams or lotions.

Suggestion for application of Micropore paper tape.
• Tape should be applied without tension to clean, dry skin.
• A clipper may be used to remove hair, if necessary.
• To protect at-risk skin, 3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film may be applied and when thoroughly dry, tape may be applied over it.
• In general, do not encircle a limb completely with tape. • If distention is anticipated, use a tape that stretches or a self-adherent wrap to secure the dressing or tubing
A. General taping
Apply the tape without tension, gently but firmly stroking the surface to maximize adhesion. Tape should extend at least one-half inch beyond the dressing. Tape should not be pulled or stretched when applied. If swelling does occur, loosen and re-fasten or replace tape to relieve the tension.
B. When compression is needed
1. Place first section of tape without tension onto skin on one side of the dressing, gently pressing downward.
2. With one hand, secure tape on one edge of the dressing while slightly stretching next section of tape over the dressing.
3. Secure tape on opposite edge of the dressing.
4. Press remaining tape onto skin without tension. Compression should come from the multiple layers of dressing material, not from excessive tension in the tape. Skin distention under tape may result in blistering and should be relieved as soon as possible.

(click to return to top of this page)
Why do I need micropore tape? Is it necessary for application?

(click to return to top of this page)
What if I have sensitive skin and the tape provided is too sticky?
In cases when the provided surgical micropore tape is too sticky and the skin is sensitive it is generally recommended to try and remove the tape after each application under water for easier removal. Alternatively, one should consider switching to micropore tape for sensitive skin.

Curaderm BEC5
I have been using Curaderm for over 3 months now for a large squamous cell carcinoma on my right leg. It is taking longer than average because it is squamous rather than basal, and also due to the size. The company is excellent. They have been helpful, supportive and thorough through this whole process. Curaderm is simple to use, although I am finding it difficult to know for sure when to stop using it on an area that appears to be healed. There has been pain and burning and I use ice packs and Advil for this. As this is a work in progress, I don't know the outcome yet but I am very hopeful. I will review again upon completion.

Amazing
This really works. I am a believer. Had 7 spots that would have been 7 huge divets with scars. They are still red spots but I will take that any day over the options. Glad I tried it! Hardest part was remembering to put it back in the refrigerator. I tested it on a couple of spots that were just blemishes. Dried them up over night, second night did nothing. Wanted to challenge the product, it won.

Curaderm works!
Curaderm BEC5 worked exactly as the instructions said it would. I had a small BCC on my cheek which I treated for 8 weeks. I was tempted to stop treatment after about 4 weeks because the surface sore had grown double in size and it had become an open wound with a white discharge. I was worried it had become infected, but after reading of similar experiences by others in the course of treatment, I decided to continue. I'm very glad I did. Now I have smooth, pink, healthy skin where the sore was. I'm very pleased with the results.

None
It does everything it says it will do. It's not a gimmick.

Curaderm Eliminated my Skin Cancer
I had a Squamous cell carcinoma by my nose below my right eye. It was about 1/4-inch in diameter. At first I thought it was a mole but then it started to hurt deep down when I moved the muscles of my face, like it was putting down roots. Applying Curaderm 2x a day for 30 days took it out completely, leaving a tiny indentation and no scarring.

At first I didn't notice it doing much of anything, then the cancer began to widen and flatten a little. On day 10 the Curaderm began killing it aggressively. A lot of fluid buildup in my face from cells rupturing made a puffy bag under my eye.

The next week wasn't exactly comfortable- it stung for about half an hour after applying it and the puffiness was a little distracting, but that just meant that it was working! I continued to apply Curaderm even after the cancer disappeared, until the month was up.

Curaderm was waaaaay better than surgery! Highly recommend!

curaderm success
this works! against all expectations and what we thought was a very expensive procuct, my husband's basal cell carcinoma on his forehead is showing great signs of recovery. The wound is getting smaller by the day and new skin is growing. We are on our first tube and hope that one tube might just do it!

Great product..
Took care of a small Basel Cell spot on my nose.Have used twice now and would recommend for a non invasive treatment.Took two months to alleviate the sore but with time it was gone with very little scaring.Did not like the white tape they supplied but had skin tone tape from previous treatment of another spot I had.

Curaderm BEC5
I have been using the Curaderm BEC5 for 6 weeks on a diagnosed, biopsed squamous cell carcinoma on the outside of my arm near my elbow on the top of my arm. A hole developed in the middle but seems to be getting smaller as the treatment progresses. An area of redness spread out around the original treatment area but is now beginning to be less red and smaller in circumference. From what I have read and pictures I have seen during treatment, this is a normal treatment reaction. The cream does burn on first application each time, slightly, but subsides quickly. Very easy to use and a little goes a long way. I would much prefer to use this cream than to continue to have lesions cut out. Once this lesion heals I will have another biopsy to make sure the squamous cell carcinoma has been eradicated.

It Works!!
I got this for my mom and within a little over a week of her using it the cancer growths on her face were gone and her face smooth again. It is easy to use and comes with a very helpful book that is well worth the time to read. It is a wonderful product.

CuraDerm
I am using CuraDerm for actinic keratoses (AK), which you treat for only 3 days (# of days varies by condition). I had an AK on my forehead that was the size of a fingerprint. My dermatologist already used cryosurgery (freezing spray) but it grew back. If you have cryo twice on the same spot, the skin may never go back to normal - it may remain thin and white permanently. The directions say to use CuraDerm only on affected skin, not healthy skin and cover with micropore tape. Wash hands immediately, don't let the cream touch anything else on your body/face. After the first day, each time you apply the cream, it stings for several minutes. The stinging sensation can be strong by end of day 2 & 3, but tolerable (I have low pain tolerance). After the 3rd day, you just leave the area uncovered and wash, etc. as usual. The treated area peeled twice & now the skin is normal. I did the treatment in June, 2016 (2 months ago). I am going to use it on other AK spots on my face.

Happy With Results!
My mother in law is very happy with the results from her first order of Curaderm. The lesion on her leg is probably half the size and not nearly as 'angry' looking as before. Ordering another tube today! Her doctor didn't seem to think anything should be done - after all, she is 91 - but the spot on her leg just kept getting larger for the last two years and looking worse and worse and bleeding all the time. It no longer bleeds and looks as though it is actually healing. She is very happy about this. It only requires a little bit at a time and she 'faithfully' uses it. We only wish we had taken before and after photos because so often people think these reviews are 'too good to be true." The product is not cheap - but the fact that it is healing her lesion is more than we had ever hoped for. We figured it was worth trying once. Turns out it is worth continuing to use until her leg heals completely :0) She personally prefers using extra large band aids instead of the tape. Thank you

Visible Magic
I've watched in wonder as the carcinoma disappeared right before my very eyes. Also applied it to keratoses on my arm and they likewise vanished. Curaderm BEC5 is truly magical.

To the point: Curaderm works as advertised on basal cell lesions. Just read and follow the instructions. Great product!

Curaderm for Basal Cell Carcinoma
I purchased Curaderm to treat an abnormal lesion on the back of my wrist. The on line purchase was easy and shipping was fast. The cream was sent with 3M Micropore surgical tape (much better than a generic I had on hand) and a booklet on Curaderm. The booklet is a "must" read and helped to show that the lesion was not a precancerous lesion but most likely a Basal Cell Carcinoma. The book also helped to set expectations for the treatment to take many weeks and that the lesion area would probably expand during treatment. After 7 weeks the lesion height has significantly reduced, but the area is at least 2x the starting size and has moved approx 1/2" from the original location (had I had conventional surgery, I doubt the normal 1 cm margin would have caught it all and I would have needed additional surgeries). Curaderm is the real deal - very effective at killing abnormal cells, but not very fast.

If You Are Really Covered With Skin Cancer
The instructions advise to limit the treatment area to two sq. inches. If you are covered with cancer the cream ingredients will biochemically go under the tape covering the treatment area and activate nearby cancers that will also produce lesions. This can become a problem if you don't have time to deal with all the nearby cancers that may become activated. Don't apply the cream to cancers on various body parts and then have the treatment areas also enlarge on those body parts. You can soon get overwhelmed and not have enough time daily to treat all the areas twice per day, per the instructions. I discovered however that I could get equally good results by doing my treatment every two days. The most important things are to clean the treatment areas thoroughly and keep them covered with the tape. When it's time for a treatment, get in a tub of warm water. That will loosen the tape. Remove it and clean off the residue and any dead skin. Dry off and then re-apply the cream and tape.

Cream of the Crop!
Curaderm Cream saved me from surgical removal. I decided to try this before surgical removal and it's been two month's so far and I'm very impressed. I had a basal cell carcinoma tumor on my upper arm that grew to a dime size and was unsightly. Very painful and need removal ASAP. The first month of use of Curaderm, it was painful and looked worse but it ate up all the scab. It eventually ate the cancer each layer as it evolved. I am now almost through the entire tube and just a small red circle is left. No more pain. I did buy a second tube to continue use until it's completely gone. I am confident it will heal my arm to a normal state in continued use. I will keep you posted. Wished I had taken photos of before and after. Worth every penny! Lot's of prayer and a touch of Curaderm... God is GREAT! God Bless You All on your journey to healing.

Curaderm BEC5 Cream
Unfortunately I have not started using it. My Mohs Skin Cancer dermatologists are very against it. They prescribed another cream that I have researched. It appears to be very caustic so have not started it either. Still on the fence about which to use. Please advise re: the life of the Curaderm BEC5 that I purchased. Thank you, susan phillips

Just what it says it is
In the middle of using Curaderm on a basal cell carcinoma of the cheek and it is working beautifully. Thank you so much! It is worth the price.

Curaderm BEC5
I used this cream on suspicious spots on my cheeks, nose, and forearm. It really worked wonderfully. My face is still a little red in the area where I applied the cream but it is fading more each day. I used the cream everyday for about 4 weeks until it closed and healed the sores. Once the sores closed I continued with the tape and vaseline to help keep it moist and reduce any scarring. When I go outside I keep tape on my arm and wear sunscreen and makeup on my face also wearing a floppy hat and sunglasses avoiding direct sunlight on my face and arm since it is still red and healing. I am so very pleased with this cream. I ordered the sunscreen and plan to use it for life. I thank God I found this product by watching the series titled The Truth About Cancer. I can't imagine having any precancer spots cut out or putting chemo (poison) perscription cream on my skin.
